AP writer falls for Ski Area Citizens enviro 'report card' scam

It had a brief moment of legitimacy - measured in nanoseconds - before the whole industry caught on to Colorado Wild and the "Ski Area Citizens' Coalition Report Card crapfest. Within real seconds it was exposed to be another tool the group was using to try to stop all ski area expansion.

And every year, a rookie journalist falls for their press release. Usually, it's the new guy or girl the Vail Daily or Rocky Mountain News. This year, the AP bought in, ran the "news" and the group's claim that "new development doesn't automatically mean a low grade."
